“And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it. For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order. So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.” (1 Chronicles 15:12-14).
King David knew the importance of the Ark of God. In its rightful place, the Ark brought blessing, protection, and the presence of God. Due Order was observed to successfully relocate the Ark. A prescribed method was followed. The Ark is symbolic of God’s throne upon the earth.
Every kingdom and ministry not built after the due order will be breached. Even though the purpose of ministry is to bring God’s glory, unless due order is observed, it will fail. A wrong formula cannot produce the right result.
The ark of God had been in the house of Obededom for some time. So it is with the Church today. God has a place prepared for the Church, a rightful place in God’s Kingdom, power and glory. Restoration of the apostolic and prophetic ministries and the other ministry gifts will bring the Church into due order. Apostolic reformation in the Church is to set in place foundations and structures for Kingdom building. We must realize that a new season has dawned upon us and we need to move towards that goal by aligning ourselves.
The season of reformation has dawned. The Church will be restructured to fulfill God’s purpose in the earth.
There are things that cannot be taught, but need to be caught. The Church is in a season of travail as God is birthing new revelation and unveiling mysteries. Present truth is established as the Church receives prophetic directions (signs).
The Bible does not reveal the truth, rather it hides the truth, and it is only by revelation we discover it. Within the pages of God’s word are truths to be unveiled and the Spirit is bidding us come! Education does not give understanding of spiritual truths, because these are not discerned with the intellect. Understanding of God’s word is by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit breaks the seals from God’s mysteries and reveals them to us in His perfect time.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” (Proverbs 25:2).
“You have heard; now see all this; and will you not declare it? From this time forward I make you hear new things, hidden things that you have not known.” (Isaiah 48:6 NRSV).
Revelation is revealed in times and seasons to certain people. The level of our relationship and function (calling) determines our revelation in this season (Ephesians 3:1-7). The deeper our relationship, the stronger our degree of revelation.
The channel of life is the “Word”, but the laying of hands activates when the Spirit is moving – It is the Word that creates and brings life.
The charismatic movement has been characterized by the moving of the gifts of the Spirit etc, but there has been a lack of accurate and more balanced word, hence there has not been a lasting change to bring the reformation and restoration of the Church to enable the advancement of the Kingdom of God in the earth. Though the Spirit moves, change only comes by the declaration of God’s word.
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said [spoke the word], Let there be light: and there was light.” (Genesis 1: 2-3 brackets mine).
The Spirit of God moved in the midst of chaos but nothing happened until the word was spoken. The word creates and brings life. The laying on of hands activates this word by the Spirit. The Spirit and the Word work together. God is bringing the Church into a season where the Word will be declared and demonstrated by the power of the Holy Spirit. That season is NOW!
