Apostolic Strategies for Kingdom Reformation image

Unless otherwise indicated, all scripture quotations are taken from the King James Version (KJV) of the Holy Bible.

  • Prelude
  • The performance of the spoken word of God is fulfilled in its season, but the Church lacks understanding and revelation concerning the Kingdom of God and the present season we are in. This causes unbelief that obstructs the purposes of God and His pattern for Kingdom Apostolic building. The authentic revelation of the Kingdom message has not yet been fully declared in the Body of Christ and this brings lack of knowledge. There is a need for us to be persuaded in the things concerning the Kingdom of God and the purposes of God for man.
  • “….we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Hebrews 5:11-14).
  • The present-truth of the mysteries of God is not for those who choose to linger in the old. They are strong meat, preserved for them who are willing to grow in the knowledge of God and leave behind their present position and status quo and reach out for deeper revelation truth in God.

  • As we focus on this subject matter, please be aware that some of the things revealed in this series are hard sayings that may challenge your tradition and shake your foundation. I beseech you to press on and lay hold of the truth, and the Lord will give you a fresh understanding that will allow you to make the transition from the old order of things into the present season of revelation of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God and the purposes of God for your life.
  • Foreword
  • On the one hand there is a continuing drumbeat declaring that the Lord is doing new things, and as a result there is the progressive revelation and unfolding of the purposes of God for this new season. On the other hand a fixation continues on topics of prosperity and destiny, unrelated to other mandatory kingdom realities. So the gap widens between the “haves” and the “have-not”. Men are swayed by the preaching of nice ditties for the entertainment of the hearers who are described by the Apostle Paul as the “itching ears crowd”. They quickly label these sermons as revelation, though they do not reflect the present conversation of the Father with the Son.
  • A clear sense of “nowness” is beginning to endue a company of people as they wait for the full revealing of the Sons of God and the coming of the kingdom of God. Meanwhile the biblical reality is that for over 2000 years the declaration has been, “Repent for the kingdom of God is here among you NOW”.
  • Men’s minds are yet trapped by traditional doctrines, though popular messages dress up these same teachings in modern terminology, meanwhile resisting “present truth”. Men without the growing revelation of “God’s heart” for the season position themselves before the veil and setting themselves as god to resist and block those who are pressing in, by their arguments against what is being uttered by “voices from His excellent glory”.
  • Obviously the stage is being set for a showdown as the two powers of Luke 21:26, 27 begin to array themselves for the confrontation that is inevitable. The “No names” that have been hidden by God in the wilderness of the present post-Pentecostal religious season, yet still are beginning to emerge, speaking an uncomfortable word that challenges the status quo. Earnest saints wait to see if this is the season for the budding of Aaron’s rod, and if so, how and where it will be manifested.
  • Earth is again on tiptoe awaiting the manifestation of the Sons of God. The woman, the church that is pressing forward cries out in labor pain, as fathers also join in the labor for the full maturation of a company of sons in this acceptable season of the Lord’s favor. The sons themselves begin to join in the cry for the “revelation of the Son in me”.
  • Yes, redefinition is mandatory for those who now acknowledge the fact that we have been in the season of trumpets. Not all will hear the word, but there are a people who are appointed and ordained to a new level of relationship and function in this season, to them is this word sent to awaken in them a right response to the Spirit of the Lord.
  • Therefore let this word be published and trumpeted throughout all the earth.

  • About Israel Onoriobe - WVCOM International
  • Israel Onoriobe is the Founder and International Administrator of the World Vision Crusade Outreach Ministries (WVCOM International), an apostolic-type ministry charged with the mandate of ‘Declaring the Gospel of the Kingdom, Unveiling the Purposes of God & Imparting the Nations’.
  • Born in Benin City, Nigeria he began ministry in 1993 at the tender age of 18 years. He was set apart and commissioned as an apostle by John M. Boney who is the apostolic overseer of the Kingdom Ministries Network International (KMNI), along with other apostolic leaders; and Brother Israel serves in the presbytery of KMNI, as well as other leadership networks around the nations.
  • World Vision Crusade Outreach Ministries (WVCOM International) was founded in response to a God given vision for the last day Church and World Harvest. Cooperating with the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, WVCOM International seeks the release and development of our Lord’s glorious Church.
  • Brother Israel Onoriobe operates in the revelatory gifts, especially in the words of prophecy and prophetic preaching, with the grace of an apostolic-type ministry and a prophetic unction upon his life. Brother Israel travels extensively around the nations in Africa, Asia and Australasia ministering the message of the Kingdom and declaring the purposes of God in releasing the body of Christ into a greater maturity and Christ-like stature. He has ministered in over 20 nations.
  • In the last decade, an apostolic commission was released upon this work to see a cooperative networking of churches, ministries and ministers who would give themselves in a greater expression of apostolic release. Flowing out of this has come a new fresh fire of revelation, restoration and revival power. Signs, wonders, and miraculous healings are being preached and demonstrated. A great hunger for the impartation of healing and restoration within the Body has emerged. Brother Israel has seen an unprecedented volume of healing and restoration being released during his time of ministry and many has been delivered from demonic strongholds and oppressions.
  • Brother Israel has a passion to equip and release the Body of Christ to a greater realization of the corporate healing and deliverance, which is available to them. WVCOM International fully believes a new move of the Spirit is upon the nations that will lead to an unprecedented ingathering, shaping and changing the face of the Church.
  • World Vision Crusade Outreach Ministries have become an active cog in the wheel of Kingdom Building, Kingdom Advancement and Kingdom Excellence in Africa and beyond. In the last few years, WVCOM International has been instrumental in changing Church cultures and facilitating change in ministries – causing a paradigm shift into a new concept of Kingdom lifestyle and transitioning from the old strategy (church) to an innovative concept (Kingdom). It is a change of the old wineskin for the new.
  • We have also been involved in setting up leadership training conferences and seminars for Church leaders over the years in different nations. This is one of the principle aims of WVCOM International: to teach, train and to release new Kingdom workers as well as ordain new leadership with apostolic commissions. This we believe will be accomplished through establishing of covenant relationships and partnership with other like ministries and leaders across the nations as the Lord divinely bring the links together for His purpose.
  • WVCOM International does serve to bring covering for orphan ministries, churches and ministers as we relate in a covenant relationship and proclamation for Kingdom advancement for the reformation and restoration of all things. With these, we solely proclaim and declare that the WVCOM International mission is to provide a relational network of ministries and churches that are in vital covenant relationships with one another. This comes about through a united vision of equipping, releasing and maturing the Church. The core of the vision is to see existing churches strengthened, new churches planted, global missions and evangelism, and the training of ministry leadership. The purpose is to see the Body of Christ come into her Glory for the fullness of Christ’s stature awaiting His appearance.
  • By a passion to build the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, WVCOM International is seeking those who have heard such a call of the Spirit. We are laboring to enter into functional relationship with those who are called to bring restoration and apostolic reformation to the Church by every possible means necessary.
  • Brother Israel is presently based in Uitenhage (Port Elizabeth), South Africa with his wife, Miliswa and their daughter, Destiny Owam from where they oversee the work of the ministry into the nations.
  • Chapter 1
  • Redefining Christianity
    According to God’s Eternal Pattern.
  • Christianity in its old form is simply like another lifeless religious organization trying to give an alternative hope to mankind. This hope has a form of godliness, but denies the power thereof. We entertain this form of Christianity, because we have failed to recognize the true purpose and identity of God’s eternal plan and His goal for our salvation and for our way of life. In light of this, it is imperative to have a fresh look into the wonderful purposes of God and redefine Christianity according to God’s eternal plan and pattern.
  • What does being a Christian mean?
What was the Lord’s goal during His earthly mission?
What was God’s original goal for man and why?
What is the purpose of our salvation?
  • If we can clearly answer these questions from a progressive revelation and with a true biblical point of view without any interpretation of man’s tradition and doctrines, then we will be able to understand the eternal pattern and goal of God.
  • What does being a Christian mean?
  • “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26).
  • The term “Christian” comes from the Greek word “Christianos” and it means one who is a follower of Christ by the act of learning His way, in order to be in the same way with Him. A Christian is not simply a believer, but a Christian is a disciple. There is a difference between a “believer” and a “disciple”; furthermore, the early church was not made up of believers, but the church was made up of disciples.
  • A believer is defined as one who has trust and faith in, upon, or with respect to a person or thing, but a disciple is a pupil who learns to be instructed in a way. He is a disciplined follower of the teachings and ways of Christ. In other words, he is one who is taught to become.
  • Satan is a believer of the Lord, but he is not a disciple and therefore he has no part in the Body of Christ.
  • “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” (James 2:19).
  • Being a believer is not enough. The desire of God is to raise and establish a discipleship Church which seeks to learn and accurately understand the purposes of God, so it can be on familiar terms with His way and do His will.
  • “Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.” (Mathew 28:19-20 - Good News).
  • The majority of what we have today in the church is believers, not disciples. Believers are not effectively accomplishing the will of God because they do not understand the ways of God. Disciples can accomplish His will because they have been taught and disciplined in His ways. The point we are establishing here is that Christians are believers who have grown to be disciples, hence they know the ways of God because they have been taught. Knowing the ways of God brings us to a place of being able to fulfill His will. The question then is as Christian, do we know the ways of God?
  • What was the Lord’s goal during His earthly mission?
  • The next step is to discover what was the Lord’s goal during His earthly mission? If this is discovered, then we can understand that true disciples (Christians) are those who have learned His ways in order to be in the same way with Him in fulfilling the same mission. The fact remains that the purpose and goal of God is still the same today as it was from the beginning of time. It has not changed. The great commission is to disciple the nations by teaching them to obey everything that the Lord has commanded.
  • The desire of God has always been the establishment of His Kingdom in the earth just as it is in the heaven, so that He will have a dwelling place among His people. From the Old Testament to the New Testament the fundamental premise is the coming of the Messiah to establish the Kingdom of God. The primary mission of the Lord Jesus Christ coming to earth was to reveal and establish the Kingdom of God. Woven into ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ is the proclamation…..“Thy Kingdom Come! Thy Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven!” (Matthew 6:10).
  • “At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them. But he said, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent." (Luke 4:42-43 NIV).
  • The revelation of the Kingdom of God is not limited to the eschatology of millennial prophecy. It is an active and present Kingdom that is established at the present time. Important as this is, the local church and our bible seminaries seem to have lost this fundamental heart of focus on Kingdom establishment on earth. Instead we have become focused on raising believers with an apocalyptic hope of the rapture and a sudden intrusion of the Kingdom in the clouds of heaven.
  • As disciples, the realization of Jesus’s mission for the establishment of God’s Kingdom in the earth should be our focus, and should motivate us toward this global phenomenon. This is why we have been admonished to seek primarily the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
  • What is the significance of God’s Kingdom being established in all the earth today? How will the earth look when restoration takes place? 1 Kings 4:21-30 is a replica of how things will be when the Kingdom of God is established. There will be a righteous rulership over all kingdoms, there will be prosperity, dominion, peace, safety, provision (no lack), wisdom, increase and development, joy and ultimate worship to God as priestly people.
  • The fact remains that the original design of God is for the Church to become a company of Kingdom apostolic people who understand the ways and principles of the Kingdom of God and cooperating in unity to fulfill His purpose in the earth. This is what the gospel of the Kingdom is all about. It is a restoration of God’s sovereign rule in the earth and not the removal of the Church from the earth. There must be clarity concerning the purpose of God for man’s eternal destiny and the earth.
  • We cannot preach the authentic gospel of the Kingdom of God and mix it with the theory of escapism mindset, because it does not match. It doesn’t matter who preaches the escape-to-heaven message, and how eloquent they are in their theories of eschatology, it is unscriptural. There is no basic revelation for this in the scripture because it contradicts the purpose of God for Kingdom establishment in the earth. We don’t bring our doctrine to the word, but we first build on the word for understanding.
  • According to history, over a century ago a new phenomenon arose known as the Zionism movement. By the late 1800’s and early 1900’s much of the Christian Church had been influenced by this movement. Within a short period of time many began to teach a new idea called “the rapture theory” in which Christ would soon come and suddenly take the Church to heaven from the earth before the great tribulation.
  • According to Bill Britton as accounted in his teaching article – A Closer look at the Rapture – What is it? In early 1800’s Edward Irving was excommunicated by the London presbytery because of his controversial teaching of the sinfulness of Christ’s humanity, and in 1830 he was condemned and deposed by the ministry of the Church of Scotland. He then began his own church called the Catholic Apostolic Church. The Encyclopedia Britannica, Volume 12, 1966 Issue, Pages 648-649, describes Edward Irving and the controversy over his teachings in Scotland and England.
  • During this time a woman called Margaret MacDonald had a trance in 1830 while living in Port Glasgow, Scotland where she claimed she saw the Lord coming before the great tribulation to take (rapture) the saints to heaven. Her "revelation" was recorded in a book written by R. N. Norton and printed in London in 1861. Because of the concept of the teachings of Edward Irving he believed in this trance and began to teach the rapture theory. It was from this supposed revelation that the modern doctrine and present terminology respecting it arose. It came not from the revelation of the scripture, but from that which supposedly pretended to be the Spirit of God.
  • Edward Irving accepted this teaching, and it was taught at prophetic meetings at Powerscourt House in Ireland, attended much by Plymouth Brethren organizer John Darby. Irving's views influenced Darby, C. H. Mackintosh, and C. I. Scofield (whose Bible notes popularized the new theory). Darby, Scofield along with Clarence Larkin and his factions began to teach this new theory, and in the early 1900's it reached a peak in popularity. Even though there was a revelation of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in 1906 with the Azusa Street revival, yet there was no clear revelation regarding the rapture theory, and the Pentecostals became a vehicle that encouraged this false teaching that has popularized the church to this present day.
  • There is no clear biblical revelation for the teaching of the rapture theory in the scripture. You will not find in the teachings of Jesus any plan to take His Church to heaven via a sudden intrusion before the great tribulation. From Genesis to Revelation, the word rapture is not found. However, the popular rapture theory has based its belief and knowledge more on the following passage of scripture:
  • “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
  • Specifically, in verse 17 where it speaks of the saints being “caught up”; the rapture theory teaches that when we are “caught up” in the air we shall go to heaven to be with the Lord forever. This would require Jesus’s return to the earth the third time for the millennial reign (Revelation 20:4-6). The third return of Jesus to the earth is not a scriptural doctrine. The verse did not make mention of the Lord going back to heaven and taking us with Him, it only says, “so shall we be with the Lord”. The question is where shall we be with Him?
  • Let us get this straight. Jesus is coming back again from heaven to earth for His Church! The scripture speaks very clearly of this second advent of the Lord. There will be the rising first of the dead and then the saints who are alive shall be caught up for a procession with the Lord in the clouds. Consider this!
  • “….Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17).
  • The right context of the scripture as reflected in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. The “caught up” experience of the saints is to meet the Lord in the air, to bring the sovereign rule of God’s Kingdom to the earth and to reign with Him here. It is a spiritual procession to the earth and not to heaven and again to earth as the rapture theory teaches. We are to meet the Lord in the air as a company of people (a cloud of witnesses) to bring His government to the earth, which is our eternal destiny in God.
  • “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Mathew 24:29).
  • “… and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.…And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.” (Zechariah 14:5; 9).
  • The primary purpose of the rapture theory is to provide a means of escape from the tribulation that is coming to pass. The Church has simply fallen into line with this commonly accepted mindsets and opinions concerning this interpretation. The coming of the Lord (Son of Man) has been clearly stated to occur after the tribulation. You now begin to understand that the purpose of the rapture theory is to create a means of escape for the Church from the tribulation that is to come. The rapture teaching is a weak doctrine that produces a weak church that is not ready to stand in the heat of times. This teaching of the institutional church has no point of reference in scripture. Consider John 16:33, Revelation 3:9-10. The means of escape for the Church during the coming tribulation will be by the act of God’s sovereign intervention to keep His people, as in the days of Noah by the ark. The Church should be prepared to go through the season of trials that is coming with the assurance that the Lord will keep them through the tribulation.
  • “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” (Matthew 24:37-42).
  • A clear understanding of the days of Noah will reveal to you that it was the wicked who were taken away by the flood for destruction, while the righteous were left behind, and they became the righteous people who repopulated the earth and began a new age. The scripture says, so shall it be at the end.
  • Many think that the earth will be fully destroyed and a different earth will emerge from scratch. But the Bible teaches that while the earth will be destroyed for a while, it will be restored again into a new earth. God will make the same old earth into the "New Earth," which will be better than it ever was! It is like the flood in the days of Noah. The earth seemed "destroyed," it really wasn't. It continued to exist until this very day. It was an evil generation God destroyed. Just as our bodies will die and God will bring the same bodies back to life in a much better condition of immortality. In the same way, the earth will be destroyed, but God will bring it back in a much better condition as our eternal home. Peter said, "In keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness" (2 Peter 3:13).
  • The focus of God has always being about Him coming down rather than us going up. "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth...Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be His people, and God himself will be with them and be their God" (Revelation 21:1, 3 NIV).
  • As Dr. Randy Alcorn puts it, ‘The ultimate Heaven is not "us with God" in His place, but "God with us" in our place: Earth’. God's plan is to dwell with His people in a physical realm, bringing Heaven to Earth. He will "bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ" (Ephesians 1:10 NIV).
  • What God makes us desire is exactly what He promises: the resurrected life in a resurrected body, with the resurrected Christ on a resurrected earth. God's plan is for Christ to rule over a heaven and earth that are unified and made into one. God's presence will be on earth (Revelation 21:3) and God's will is going to be done on earth as it is in heaven, bringing Heaven to Earth:
  • He made known unto us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment — to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ (The Corporate Body). God's central plan hasn't changed—a physical and spiritual humanity delighting in God and serving Him together as we rule the Earth to His glory.
  • To realign the focus and expectation of the people towards this present reality of the Kingdom of God, the first proclamation is a call to repentance. I believe the Lord is calling His Church to repentance in this regards.
  • “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17).
  • This call to repentance applies to the Body of Christ in the present day. Repentance comes from the Greek word “metanoeo”, which means to think differently, to reconsider or to change our ways and return back to course. The study of the scriptures reveal that the application of this word was for the people of God to change their heart and ways of thinking and not primarily for the gentiles or sinners to stop sinning as taught by tradition. To repent has to do with the mind. The mind must be reformed if we are to build in accordance to the pattern of God. Our traditions and religious mind-set must be relinquished. During the past seasons God has brought us through with “then-revelations” that were acceptable during that time, but now He requires that we gain new spiritual technology that is current for this new day. The principle of spiritual restoration requires that we return back to God. The Lord excels in works of restoration (Job 22:23). We have been broken down. The ruin of the nations is a fruit of our spiritual brokenness. We must return and be restored. Our responsibility is to repent. This will be a redefining of Christianity according to God’s eternal pattern.
  • “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” (Acts 17:30).
  • We must change our mentality and focus from ‘going’, because the goal of God is in His ‘coming’ to take residence in the earth among His people. Heaven is not the fullness of our destiny, but the Kingdom of God is our destiny and that includes the earth. We must understand that the Kingdom of God is bigger than heaven. When we speak of the Kingdom of God, we are speaking about the fullness of a person and not just a place. Without a king there is no kingdom. The focus of a kingdom is first and foremost on the king, then the realm of his reign and the people under his authority. God is more and bigger than the heavens and the earth. Heaven is a reality of the manifestation of the fullness of where God is present. Heaven is more than a specific location or an upward direction, but it is where God is, and where He manifests Himself. God is a Spirit and Heaven is a spiritual place. It does not have a definite location because it is in all places God is. God’s goal as revealed in the scriptures is the revelation of His Kingdom in His coming from heaven to earth to take residence. This implies therefore that when God fully take His residence in the earth and His fullness is manifested here, then heaven is here, in and with Him.
  • “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him” (Ephesians 1:7-10).
  • God has a new administration that He is about to reveal to His creation. His creation has not yet seen this administration. It will come from the corporate Body of Christ. This is why the earth is being redeemed and restored, because the new government of God is coming down from heaven to earth. The purpose of God is that He desires a dwelling place on earth. The place of His desire is earth.
  • “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them” (Exodus 25:8).
  • The purpose of the sanctuary is that He wants to live among men.
  • “And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God. And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the Lord their God.” (Exodus 29:45-46).
  • The intention of God for bringing His people out of Egypt was for the purpose of dwelling among them as their God; because in the house of bondage He cannot dwell among them. Egypt was the place where the people of God were held in spiritual bondage. They were God’s people in Egypt, yet they were not free to fulfill the purposes of God while in the house of bondage. The LORD brought them out so He can dwell among them. This is the heart of the whole purpose of God to have a dwelling place in the earth among men.
  • Mindsets can become strongholds that captivate us against the progressive revelation of the purposes of God. The reality is that the church is bound in a religious eschatological ethnicity that hypnotizes attitudes and the beliefs of the way of thinking that must be fine-tuned. The source is from false church doctrines and deceptive teachings of men that misleads. Strongholds are spiritual mindsets that must be pulled down. These ways of thinking are weapons of the flesh that hinders the purposes of God because it is continually in enmity against God’s Kingdom [His way of thinking] – (2 Corinthians 10:3-6, Romans 8:5-8). The old ways of thinking must be renewed in order for transformation to take place. It is a paradigm shift that demolishes the shadow and releases us into a new Kingdom mindset.
  • “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.” (1 John 1:5-6 NIV).
  • Darkness comes from the Greek word “skotos” which means Shadow. A large amount of what is declared today in the church is only a shadow of the truth, and it is a lie of Satan. In every country and community there are strongholds that have influence over the people, even over churches that are walking in the shadow. This pattern of thinking is a demonic influence that is strategically induced by the enemy because of the ignorance of present-truth. When we walk in this realm of obscurity the devil gains access to oppose the purposes of God, because that is his relegated position for operation. It brings us to the absence of the light of the revelation of God’s progressive truth in the earth today.
  • What was God’s original goal for man and why?
  • There have been much speculation and even many study notes trying to reveal the goal of God for man. However to comprehend this we simply need to go back to the beginning of age, because everything is summarized in Genesis 1: 26-28:
  • “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
  • The goal was for man to “be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it (have dominion over the earth). Man was created by God for this purpose. This goal of God has not changed!
  • The book of Genesis accounts the revelation of man’s beginning, but not the beginning of all things as the earth itself existed before the genesis of man. It is important to note the word “re-plenish”. Something happened to the earth and it was turned into a formless mass cloaked in darkness and void. The earth was thus destroyed and reduced to this state by Satan and demonic spirits that were cast down from heaven to the earth (Isaiah 14:12-17), but the goal of God in placing man in the earth was to restore the earth. Part of his assignment was to “re-plenish” the earth. The prefix “re” means to do it again. The establishment of the Kingdom of God in the earth is a divine restoration committed to the church to bring the earth back into order as it was in the beginning before it was destroyed and reduced into this formless mass of Genesis 1:2. The sovereignty of the Kingdom of God has been from the beginning and the desire of God is to rule over all things.
  • “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion….” (Genesis 1:26).
  • God is a Spirit that cannot die. Man is a Spirit-Being created in the image and likeness of God. Before the fall, man was immortal like His creator who is eternal. Adam lived and experienced this realm of immortality until he fell. Death and immortality prevailed over man due to the sin of disobedience to God’s instruction not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Sin brought death.
  • “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die”. (Genesis 2:16, 17).
  • The manifestation of Christ in the earth in the form of Jesus (The God-Man) was for the purpose of restoring man back to his original state as it was in the beginning of age before the fall. To make us a Spirit-Being, immortal, created and made in the likeness of God to have dominion over all things in the earth realm. This was Adam’s original realm. This is why if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature restored to the image of God. A restoration takes place in our spirit that affects our being. The apostle Paul boasts of us having victory over death after this divine exchange (1 Corinthians 15:49-57).
  • What is the purpose of our salvation?
  • If we can comprehend the truth of God’s goal for man’s creation and his place in the garden, then we will realize the purpose for our salvation, because the aim has never been for God to prepare a people for a trip to heaven, but to bring heaven to earth (Matthew 6:10), to see His Kingdom restored and established in the earth. We are saved not for the purpose of going up to heaven, but to be an instrument of His in the earth for His Kingdom to be established. This is why we have been gifted with talents. We are in a defining season where the heaven is invading the earth to establish the purposes of God and cause His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
  • The present church system and order must change. There must be a rising up of apostolic community of churches that understands its prophetic destiny in establishing the Kingdom of God, because the administrative center (heaven) of God is coming down to earth. The whole purpose is on His coming and this should be our comfort. The emphasis must not be on the going, but on the coming of the Lord. If we are going to see the Kingdom of God restored in the earth according to the will of God, then we must overcome the leisure activities of the church and the escapism mentality and teach the truth of God’s word. The transformation of the earth into an eternal destiny is a divine purpose of God that needs to be accomplished.
  • Man was created and established by God to have rule over all of creation and the earth. Heaven is not the realm promised by God to man to rule, reign and have dominion over, but earth is (Genesis 1:26-28, Revelation 5:10). The purpose of God for man’s salvation is for Him to be the administrator of the earth realm. This plan of God has not changed. This is what it means to establish the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. The ultimate goal of God is to kingdomize the earth and establish it as His Kingdom just as it is in heaven. Earth’s government is presently been displaced with heavenly government, because God is coming down and bringing His administrative headquarters to earth from heaven.
  • The kingdom is about rulership (Psalm 103:19)…..and the realm of His rule is the heavens and the earth. God rules the invisible realm of the heavens, but the visible realm of the earth He has delegated to man to rule over according to His principles and His will. Man is the governor and administrator of heaven’s affairs on the earth realm. We are created and made to stand in the place of God on the earth to exercise His authority, His dominion, His rule and His sovereignty as His representative and a diplomat of the Kingdom. We are made as a god over the earth (Psalm 82:6, John 10:34). This is why we are also called ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20). Inclusive in our ambassadorial responsibilities as Kingdom diplomats in the earth is to kingdomize all things. This is why the Church is divinely purposed to be the ultimate government over the earth through the administration of Kingdom principles. It is our mandated position for the purposes of God.
  • It is important to note that some of our true teachers can in honesty communicate false doctrines and teach past truth ignorantly when there is a lack of understanding in the new season we have come into. This is because we are unaware that the Lord has moved beyond. To make matters more perplexing, some things considered by many to be facts are just not accurate. This was evident in Apollos in Acts 18:24-26. Though he was a learned man who had been instructed in the way of the Lord, with a thorough knowledge of the scriptures, he taught with great fervor, but he was limited in his revelation of the new season because he knew only the baptism of John. He was a disciple of John the Baptist and did not recognize that a transitional season had taken place from John’s baptism to a new season of baptism into Jesus in the Holy Spirit. It took Priscilla and Aquila who became an apostolic channel to expound to him the way of God more accurately and release him from his old mindset into a new pattern and way of thinking. What a mighty apostle and a spiritual pillar he became after this process of transition, so much that the church in Corinth could witness of him among others like Peter and Paul (1 Corinthians 1:12). This applies to those who have been discipled in the old word and past season. They need to make the transition.
  • To therefore redefine Christianity according to God’s eternal pattern we must teach the simplicity of God’s word from a progressive revelation and new mindset and re-establish the fact that Christianity is not just another lifeless religion. Rather it is a relationship with a living God through Jesus Christ, and this must change the existing culture of the present church system. There must come a refocusing on the ways of God to fulfill His will in the earth, as true disciples being instructed in Kingdom ways of doing things so we can be in the same way with the Father. If we are going to fulfill the great commission and see our communities changed and the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our God, then there must be a paradigm shift from the old, so we can embrace something new in regard to the purposes of God for the earth.
  • The government of God is set to take over earth’s affairs to bring God’s eternal purpose into fruition. It will be a transformation of the earth by the manifestation of the Sons of God (Romans 8:19-23). The earth will be restored under a heavenly Kingdom. Indeed, the earth will become what God purposed.
  • This involves the establishing of New Testament Churches with an Antioch pattern of operation, the aggressive invasion of the market-places and the revolutionizing of the nations. There must be a visible expression of the manifestation of God’s Kingdom in the communities. Change must occur in high places. The present government in the heavenlies must be substituted with the Church as the right order of authority.
  • The Lord has spoken and His purposes will be fulfilled. The performance of His word does not depend on our faith, neither can our unbelief hinder His purposes. The Lord will perform His word and His purposes will stand!
  • Chapter 2
  • Invading the Market Place Community
  • There is a new concept of Kingdom dynamics that we need to be aware of as the Church and be identified with. The Church has neglected her responsibility of kingdom administration in the market-place community because we have assumed that it is not part of the purposes of God to rule in this area, but the Lord is stirring the hearts of His saints to refocus on this assignment. The Kingdom of God will not be fully established in the earth if the market-place is still dominated by principalities, demonic supremacy and their agents. The end goal of God is that the kingdoms of this world should become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ for the reason that He might reign over all things forever and ever (Revelation 11:15), and this includes the market-place.
  • The kingdoms of this world include all of the spheres of life that affect our being. Some of the kingdoms of the world that the Lord has assigned the Church to take over are economics, medicine, law, politics (government), business, science & technology, education, arts & sports etc. The Church is yet to make an impact and take over these kingdoms. This calls for a whole new generation of Kingdom leaders and saints that must be raised up in the market-place and in government. Men and women with such characters as Daniel, Joseph, Esther, Abraham, Moses who will strategically develop Kingdom principles of invading nations, influencing government and those in high places to establish the purposes of God.
  • The truth remains that the church must change or we will become irrelevant. If we cannot train and position the saints in places of influence and governmental authorities then we will become subject to the ridicules of the enemy and unlawful decisions that will be to the detriment of our faith.
  • When Haman stood as an enemy against the Jews and plotted to destroy them nothing would have been able to avert the destruction that was coming, if Queen Esther had not stood in the King’s inner court to mediate for salvation. She desecrated the laws of the King’s palace and stepped into the inner court to meet with the King declaring “…if I perish, I perish”. The only reason Esther stood in this position was because she was prepared by Mordecai to take it, even though she was a Jew and it was not her right to do so. Mordecai recognized that she was prepared in her royal position for such a time as this.
  • This question stands before us today; have we as a Church prepared our Esther’s who will stand in their place of governmental authorities for times such as this?
  • Joseph the Jewish lad was made the governor over the land of Egypt. He controlled the economy of Egypt in the midst of famine and opened the storehouses to the nations, preserved the heritage of God’s people and brought unity among his brothers. In the midst of challenges, he went through the process of development to make his dream become a reality. From his lowest position in the pit and in prison he rose to occupy a seat in the King’s palace. He gained favour with God and with those in authority.
  • This question stands before us today; where are the Josephs of our day who will administrate and be in command of the economy?
  • Daniel, a slave Jew in Babylon, was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. When substitutes for God held powers, Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself. Daniel ruled in Babylon in the midst of evil and corrupt government, yet his integrity was set with a clear record without any guilty accusation found against him, except against his worship to God. God blessed him with knowledge, skill of learning, wisdom and understanding in all visions and dreams. He was positioned by God to influence the government of his day. He unveiled the revelation of the purposes of God to establish the sovereignty of His Kingdom that shall not be destroyed, but shall crush all kingdoms into pieces and consume them, bringing them to an end (Daniel 2:44).
  • This question stands before us today; where are the Daniels of today who will establish the sovereignty of God in the nations and rule in the midst of Babylonian systems with excellence and integrity?
  • There must be a clear revelation and understanding of Kingdom administration in the earth. Our dominion is not intended by the Lord to be over women or over His Church as we have been taught by tradition over the years, but our dominion is over the enemy and over everything the Lord has created in the earth in order for us to bring restoration and the establishment of the sovereign rule of God. It calls for aggressiveness in laying hold of the Kingdom and forcefully advancing it.
  • “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.” (Matthew 11:12 NIV).
  • It is a scheme of the enemy to promote the separation of the Church and the State for the purpose of hindering the establishment of God’s authority in government. As a matter of fact there is no scriptural political State of government that exists outside the righteous principles and laws of God. The Church is designed by God to be the ultimate government in the earth that will administer the purposes of God and the political State is subject to this. If we do not change our concept of the Church in politics, we will continually give room to the wicked to rule over us. We are not to only pray for those in authority, but we must speak out for righteousness, and if need be, we must replace the political government with a righteous man that has the fear of God.
  • “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn” (Proverbs 29:2).
  • How can the righteous man be in authority when our mindset is against the Church in politics, and we continually cast our vote for unrighteousness by voting in wicked men who have not the fear of God? When the wicked rise and bear rule, men hide themselves and the nation decreases.
  • The Church must not get herself involved in the corruptness of politics by playing the Babylonian system that is the order of the day, but rather stand out to raise the standard and set a righteous rule in the midst of the Babylonian systems with excellence and integrity like Daniel in his time. The reason principalities and powers are still ruling is because the church has not risen to her place of dominion and authority.
  • “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).
  • There is a need to re-evaluate the system of Church activities and give priority to the market-place community that includes the government, so that we can make a significant impact in our communities and the nation at-large. If we are going to impact the market-place community, then we must move beyond the friendly seeker church principle of growing successful churches that only grow inwardly, but have no expression of outward Kingdom focus. Having attractive church programs that people can come and benefit from is good. Having a large number of people in church is good, but this makes us more like the Jerusalem church which became so satisfied with its local inward growth and daily pastoral activities that did not give priority to the apostolic mandate of reaching beyond Jerusalem, until the Lord sent persecution to bring a fulfilment of the mandate which resulted in the great Antioch Church plant that had its effect on the community. It is important that we ask; what is the focus of our local church? What impact is your local church having on your community? We must prayerfully and strategically reach out into our communities. Let’s make an impact through our sphere of influence. We need to speak of God in the market-place.
  • Men with Kingdom mindsets must rise up to speak to the economy, rather than running things down with our mouths. We have authority to speak to mountains by faith and bring a change. This authority must not be use to abuse the community and government. We must move from condemning our cities and nation to blessing and praying for it. Our words carry power and have an impact when we speak. When we speak the Word, the power of God is released. This is how the church can become the hub of affairs. We must walk in dominion and authority in the market-place as we speak to economic Babylon to be invaded.
  • “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper” (Jeremiah 29:7 NIV).
  • We should not position ourselves as opposition to the development of the community by speaking against it, but seek every means to be a blessing. We need to pray for our community on a constant basis. What the community becomes is a reflection of what the Church is. The reflection of our community and the nation defines the present character of the church. If change is to come, then change must begin in the house of God as we align ourselves with the Word of God in seeking His will. The extent that we impact our communities will be proportionate to how effectively each influential sector of our community is carried in positive prayers. Men of God in authority must rise to speak to the economy of the nation to effect change because they have the power to unlock destinies of nations.
  • Successful Christian leaders in the market-place ministries must come together constantly in unity, for the purpose of exchange of ideas and experiences about how to impact their society for Christ. Indeed, communities can be changed when churches come together in unity around a common vision for what the city can become through significant ministry and service.
  • Jack Dennison of CitiReach writes, “While solid relationships form the basis for unity, we can’t stop there. My observation in city after city is that oftentimes unity becomes an end in itself. So we see repetitive efforts to demonstrate our unity through citywide worship events, prayer vigils and other similar events. These activities are wonderful symbols of our unity but they rarely produce real substance. They make us feel good and sometimes result in great newspaper coverage, but the cities remain unchanged.”
  • Uniting the church around a common goal is preferable to trying to unite the church around a co-operative project. We align ourselves “in unity to pursue the same goals for our community while each participant determines the part it should play.” Functional unity does not exclude co-operative efforts, but functional unity also implies that each church can act with a degree of sanctified independence, not waiting for permission from others to serve the community, as long as it is working toward the agreed upon vision of a healthy, transformed community. Community transformation begins at the intersection of the needs and dreams of a community, the calling and capacities of the church and the mandates and desires of God for a community.
  • The five-fold ministry must recognize this grace and gifts and give opportunity for development within the Body of Christ. The Church must embrace the workplace and consider it as part of their field of influence. The Church must purposely minister to the corporate class in the society. This means we must strategically plan and budget towards this, and equip the people to reach out. We must put in place workplace ministries workshops to help gain ideas and strategies to succeed in the workplace. Developing and establishing a Kingdom Community in the market-place with an apostolic mindset of invading every corner of the earth. We must be tactical in this approach in raising “God’s Secret Agents” with specific mandates to infiltrate the kingdoms of this world in the nations and plunder it from within like cankerworms. It is like Moses who was raised in the house of the enemy in Egypt and became an instrument of God to plunder Egypt.
  • Our God-given purpose on earth is to rule the nations, using our God-given inventiveness as His image-bearers. This includes developing business initiative, technology and having a clear understanding about Kingdom Empowerment and the law of entrepreneurship. We must become innovative and creative by asking the Lord for wisdom to function in the market-place.
  • One of the reasons why the church must invade the market-place is to help bring in the wealth of the wicked for Kingdom purposes and Kingdom advancement. We are in a season of wealth transfer and this will come through the market-place. For this reason, our mindset must change. Mindsets are stronghold that can captivate us to the spirit of poverty, thereby incapacitating us from fulfilling the purposes of God and from advancement His Kingdom in the earth. It is mandatory that we adjust our attitude to prosperity for Kingdom purposes. We must begin to align the mindset of the church towards a broader understanding of Kingdom Economics and Kingdom Empowerment. This will help us strategically look into the future to build something that will outlast and affect the next generation.
  • The church of today must develop an infrastructure for a continuing process of market-place ministry, through intentional strategies aimed at equipping Christians to express their faith at work in order to influence the workplace for the Kingdom of God. The market-place community ministry must become more than a minor program for limited few personnel, but it must be a sum total body mechanism that will produce a manifestation of God’s Kingdom. We must be committed to mobilizing and training the believers in the church to reach out to the corporate class in the market-place. This must be seen as a specific ministry calling to draw the people into active service.
In making a significant impact in the workplace and gaining the right attention, we must do things with excellence, anything less, will discredit Christ in the workplace. Daniel as a slave Jew and a stranger in Babylon was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him.
  • “It pleased Darius to appoint 120 satraps to rule throughout the kingdom, with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” (Daniel 6:1-3).
  • Christian leaders and believers speak much about ethics and integrity, but we fall short of living up to expectation. Accountability and transparency must become a watchword even in our dealings in the secret place if we are to have a positive and transforming impact in our communities.
  • The problem with the Body of Christ which brings limitations to our effectiveness in the market-place is that we have taught only the establishing of the Kingdom of God in the earth to the limited dimension of our spiritual birth of inheriting eternal life through faith and obedience towards Christ. We have omitted the view of our dominion over the earth in subduing all things to Christ before He returns. The setback against this teaching is that we cannot figure out with our natural mind the possibility of all things coming into subjection to Christ before His return, because of what we see around us, such as corruption, wars, famine, natural disasters etc. The Church must live by faith and not by sight, and recall that the clarion declaration of the Father is that there will be a restitution of all things in the earth realm, and all the kingdoms of this world must become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever (Revelation 11:15, Acts 3:21). The revelation of the mystery of “Our Lord, and of His Christ” speaks of Jesus and His corporate body (The Church).
  • The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in His Glory will not be primarily for the establishing of the Kingdom of God in the earth, but to receive the Kingdom of God that is already established by the Church in the earth and to submit it to God the Father, that He may be all in all (1 Corinthians 15:23-28). It is God who puts everything under Christ’s feet through His Church (Romans 16:20). This is our purpose and divine mandate.
  • It is imperative for us to constantly consider our focus and position in the earth and our understanding of God’s purpose, and make alignment to the plan, pattern and purposes of God. There is still much to be accomplished in our earthly responsibility of establishing the Kingdom of God. I challenge you in the name of the Lord Jesus that you become dissatisfied with your present achievement and success and look beyond for greater things. We must enforce the will of God over the systems of the world. The educational system is falling apart and it is important to note that this is where the mindset of many generations is being molded. In the music world and entertainment industry there is a strong demonic influence. Carnality, immorality and decadence have filtered into that system and this is the work of the enemy. There is need for us to ask and answer this question; If Jesus was here what would He do?
  • Our mindset and perspective must be from an elevated place – From the throne position. The Church must function with the mind of Christ and see things the way He does. Kings on the throne do not think and see things from a low mentality, as that affects the order of their leadership ability. They are not timid. Kings operate with wisdom and a high authority to penetrate the order of things to bring change and establish the desires of God. They make decrees to take ground. The Church must function with this kingship authority and establish the Kingdom of God in the earth. God is a Spirit who rules over the unseen realm. Man is created in God’s likeness to express His image in the earth as a Spirit-god to rule over the seen realm (Psalm 82:6), and this includes the workplace.
  • “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away…..” (Revelation 21:1).
  • What is wrong with the present heaven and earth? There are thrones, dominions and principalities that have taken the place of God and they rule in the heavenlies and in the earth realm and this affects the purposes and government of God. The LORD of Hosts wants to dethrone these strongholds through His corporate Body in the earth and bring change by enforcing His will. He is LORD and He desires to reign over ALL THINGS.
  • “After this manner therefore pray ye:…Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:9-10).
  • We must pray in the Kingdom for God’s will to be done. God is depending on us. The advancement of the Kingdom depends on our act to pray. We are an important element for the fulfillment of God’s purpose in the earth. God has subjected His government in the earth into the hands of the Church. When we take action, the Kingdom of God act and the will of God is done. God will not do anything in the earth except He works through the human vessel.
  • Our ministry has been to over twenty nations in different continents. We celebrate the privilege of the grace of God in imparting the message of the Kingdom as we minister to leaders in a choice of churches and to all colour and race. Apart from declaring the message of the Kingdom and unveiling the purposes of God to the people, it has been our strategy to also establish God’s Kingdom in the region through intercessory prayers. Through prayers, demonic inhabitants are dislodged and deliverance is brought in the region as the Kingdom of God is repositioned.
  • The Church must become strong in the Lord and in the power of His might so that we can penetrate the systems around us through corporate prayers and strategic intercession (Ephesians 6:10-11). We must make war against the systems of darkness and make obligatory the victory in making the LORD to have His rule over all things. It is also important that we have a strategy for exit from spiritual warfare. Our involvement in constant warfare is a hindrance to the building of the house of God. We must recognize that the warfare is over (accomplished in Him) and it is time to rise and build. The Church must know when the warfare is over and not engage constantly in an unfinished spiritual combat that becomes a hindrance to the plan and purposes of God, because in times of war we cannot build (1 Kings 5:3-5).
  • Chapter 3
  • Establishing Antioch Churches
  • The emerging of the church in Antioch was first mentioned during the persecution of the church in Jerusalem, which served as a base for the apostles. During the persecution that arose about Stephen’s death, the base church was scattered abroad to places like Judea, Samaria, Phenice, Cyprus, and Antioch. This resulted to the fulfillment of Acts 1:8, because to some extent the base church of the apostles in Jerusalem failed to accomplish the task of being witnesses in Judea, Samaria and to the uttermost paths of the earth. The Jerusalem church failed to fulfill Acts 1:8, until the persecution. The Jerusalem church had all kinds of ministries and grew inwardly, but lacked an outward expression of being witnesses for the Lord, because its focus was limited to Jerusalem alone. This speaks much of the majority of the present-day church which has lost focus of influencing its communities and the nations, but only seeks inward growth in numbers and their personal agenda.
  • The Antioch church had some distinct characteristics with the Jerusalem church and this makes it a model for the present work of God in the earth today. Though the Jerusalem church had influence, presided over the work, served as a base for the apostles and was a place of accountability, yet the Antioch church demonstrated and functioned as a strong apostolic center.
  • ‘Antioch Churches’ is a corporate apostolic people that have a sending mentality to release others into the work of the ministry that they are called into. Antioch churches are communities that have moved beyond pastoral priorities to an active involvement in the apostolic work, which is beyond the activities that lock the people of God into the realm of a local assembly. The pastoral mindset is biblically defined as an eldership principle of caring and nurturing the flocks in a locality – this is a pastoral main concern, but the apostolic mindset has the grace to release equipped and matured people into the work under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Unlike the Jerusalem church which was more a camping place. Pastors need to retool for an apostolic pattern in order to receive an assimilation of the present apostolic grace to the Church.
  • “Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which has been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus” (Acts 13:1-4).
  • Antioch Churches are those that have moved beyond the limitations of culture and race. They are multi-cultural and multi-racial as this is expressed in leadership. Both Jews and Gentiles shared leadership responsibility over the Church and they reached both communities. Lucius who was part of the 5 men in leadership, was a black man from Libya in Africa. This applies to Simeon who was called Niger and was also a proselyte from Africa. There was no discrimination. The Antioch church differs from the Jerusalem church which had ethnic limitations because they ministered only to the Jews. Today we are reminiscent of the Jerusalem Church, having divided the church with racism, nepotism, our traditions, our doctrines and denominational barriers. This can be clearly seen in churches that have become tribalistic and racial, as black and white leaders encourage and lead those of the same colour who become predominant in the midst of others. God is calling for a unified body of all races and nations to fulfill His purpose. The pigmentations of our skins should not be an issue, but our hearts.
  • Antioch churches is focused on raising disciples in fulfillment of the great commission to make disciples of all nations (Acts 11:19-26, Matthew 28:19-20). The focus is not to raise believers, but disciples as we have clearly defined the difference in chapter one of this series. The Antioch church constantly discipled others into the ministry and within a period of a year plus, they were able to release their finest leaders into an external work without their absence having any effect on the local center. This speaks of stability and focus, because the Antioch church was not built towards personality.
  • Antioch churches have a team-work approach to ministry and leadership. This is a biblical pattern that is very effective in accomplishing any vision. True biblical model of church government is not the "Moses Principle" of one man running everything, but it has always been the presbytery principle where there is a plurality of elders – a team ministry approach of the five-fold ministry. The Antioch church received the five-fold ministry gifts of the apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers (Acts 13). This is what makes the Antioch church a strong apostolically structured center that gave room for the release of each ministry gifts to function without any conflict of interest. It was not about the apostles or the prophets or the teachers only, but it was a corporate five-fold ministry functioning to accomplish the plan of God. The Antioch church was governed by multiple ministries that were recognized; Barnabas, Simeon, Lucius, Saul (Paul) and Manaen who was a Jewish aristocrat brought up with Herod the tetrarch. These were the 5 key leaders administrating the Antioch church. The five-fold ministry gifts were present in the leadership that was responsible in the management of the Antioch church.
  • There must be an alignment in leadership pattern – (the five-fold ministry must be fully embraced and set in order to function freely). We are in a transitional season that requires the local church to shift into a five-fold ministry model of operation. We have spoken much about this, but the application of the principles has been slow and the characters have not been fully formed. The reason why there is such a great level of immaturity in the church is because we have not fully recognized and received the five-fold ministry that the Lord has given to us. The result of this negligence has resulted to immaturity, absence of unity and ignorance of the purposes of God. The fact remains that if we are ignorant of the primary purposes of God and continue to minister and build in the old pattern, we will go into error. We must move beyond our pastoral priority to an active involvement in the apostolic work, a work that is beyond the activities of the local assembly in building the house of God and establishing His Kingdom on earth.
  • The Antioch church was characterized by their giving to God. They were generous in sending relief to the brethren in Judea by the hands of Barnabas and Saul. They did this according to their ability in response to the prophetic ministry that signified that there should be a great dearth throughout the entire world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar (Acts 11:27-30). Every local church must adopt this principle and abound in the grace of giving. There is no church that has nothing to give. If we have a vision for the establishment of an Antioch church, then our provision will be greatly determined by this grace. The measure of our vision determines the measure of God’s provision to us.
  • The Antioch church was a strong priestly ministry that ministered to God (Acts 13:2). The priestly ministry is a primary focus of our assignment in the earth. It is first about our devotion to God before our service to the people. The effectiveness of our ministry to the people is a result of our commitment to minister first to God. The priestly ministry is first our devotion to God which is expressed in our prayers, worship and intercession. This is the secret of hearing the voice of God and walking in obedience to His divine instruction.
  • Antioch churches are territorial churches. They are strategically positioned to be gate keepers in the city. They keep watch over activities in the region. They have governmental authority at their disposal to enforce Kingdom purposes. Antioch churches are governmental churches that have a Kingdom perspective with the ability to impact and influence their region and the earth as agents of change. We must become a spiritual government and a pattern in our region. This is clearly seen in the expression of the Antioch church because the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch (Acts 11:26). Antioch was a discipleship training centre for believers to be developed, equipped and released. In Antioch these believers who became disciples were called Christians. It was not the Lord that called the disciples Christians, neither was it the apostles, but it was the world that called them Christians because of the expression of their faith and lifestyle that was having an influence in the community and beyond. As an Antioch patterned church, we must be strategically positioned in a region to invade the market-place community and economic Babylon to plunder it for the Kingdom of God.
  • The desire of God is to raise a prototype of an Antioch church that has significantly changed its status quo to affect the old system. There must be a new work that is established or re-structured in the region, after the pattern of an Antioch church that is governmental, to impact and influence cities and nations for the Kingdom of God. These churches will become governmental churches that are local ministries with a global vision that seeks to reach beyond. The present faith level of the church must increase to a measure of influence, a measure to reach beyond. As well as being a local church family like the Jerusalem church, we should also have a worldwide vision like the Antioch church.
  • The Antioch church is a Kingdom church that was built apostolically that carried the gospel message of the Kingdom to regions beyond, because it was apostolic by birth, vision and function. If our present day church is not kingdom, then it is not apostolic, because the goal and message of the apostolic is the kingdom (Matthew 10:1-7). We must also send out apostolic teams to reach the nations. This is a pattern of an Antioch church. Presently God is releasing “heavenly patterns” for establishing His church in the earth that will manifest His Kingdom and sovereignty like the Antioch church. There is a need for us to reform.
  • Chapter 4
  • Raising New Kingdom Apostolic Ministries
  • As John M. Boney of the Kingdom Ministries Network International put in writing, “Adequate preparation for new things mandates a putting away of the old or ultimately the old and the new are wasted. This new season of God cannot be built upon foundations of the past”.
  • God is raising a new company of kingdom apostolic ministries that will bear a new and fresh word of revelation of the mysteries in regard to the purposes of God for the building of His house and the establishing of His Kingdom. This is a new move as we are in a transitional season. This new move is not the same as the old charismatic movement, other than it is Kingdom in nature. It is not a move of the multitude – It is for those who pursue after God with their whole heart and are willing to pay the price of laying down the old for the new.
  • This new move is nothing less than a “Kingdom Apostolic Move”. It is Kingdom in nature, because the primary purpose is to establish God’s Kingdom in the earth which is the desire of God from the beginning of time. It is apostolic, because it is a divine commission that is sent and ordained by God for this age and it requires the restoration of the apostles, who must function with other ministry gifts. This brings us into a season of restoration, because the old ministry and the old message have to change and align to God’s pattern which cannot be mixed with the old tradition. We must understand the principles of the laws by which the Lord rules. We cannot come into covenant with the house of David and still keep our allegiance and union with the house of Saul, because the consequence is, that like Jonathan we will die with Saul and never live to experience the new kingdom. We must part from the old wineskin (that is the structure of the old system), and come into a new relationship with God and experience something new.
  • This “Kingdom Apostolic Move” will be characterized by a new ministry that is truly apostolic in nature, and a new message that is Kingdom in focus. It is important to note that “the ministry” and “the message” changes.
  • “No-one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved." (Matthew 9:16-17 NIV).
  • A wind of change is blowing in this season, bringing fresh insight into the mysteries and purposes of God to help us make the shift and to align us to heavenly patterns in building the house of God. Too much of the old stuff has ruined the church and the work of the ministry, because many have been ignorant of the new season and the new word that is being released in the earth today. It has always been the same old sugar-coated sermon dressed up in new fangled robes, yet still with the cry for “new things”. The message and ministry of the old order cannot produce the purposes of God for this new season, but the fact remains that we must recognize that which has been gained and accomplished in the old order and past move of God and move on the way to the ultimate goal of finishing the works of God in this new season. Ignorance affects the destiny of the Church and cause people to cast off restraint. For this we need a clear revelation of the mysteries of God and His Kingdom purposes, as this is the only way we can build by heavenly pattern and establish the will of the Kingdom of God in the earth as it is in heaven. We must allow a constant flow of present-truth to enable us to focus on God’s agenda, rather than being driven by human interests.
  • Revelation of divine truth brings illumination in the heart and this comes through the Spirit of God. The primary channel through which the Holy Spirit releases this revelation of mysteries is the apostolic and prophetic ministry that is given to the Church by the Lord Jesus Christ. When there is a restoration of these ministry gifts, subsequently there will be a restoration of revelation in the Body of Christ in regard to the purposes of God. Where there is no prophetic revelation of the redemptive purposes of God the people run rampant. They do their own thing (Proverbs 29:18). This is the problem with the church that has been taught by those who do not have a prophetic revelation of the mysteries of God. If the kingdom of God is not preached, then the purpose of God is not revealed and this affects the accurate function of the church, making us naked to every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.
  • There are certain truths that are taught by the wisdom of men, but it is only the Holy Spirit who reveals the revelation of the mysteries of the Kingdom that are ordained for this last day (1 Corinthians 2:11-13).
  • “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter” (Proverbs 25:2).
  • It is interesting to note that God hides Himself. The depth of the riches of God’s wisdom and knowledge are unsearchable (Romans 11:33-36). God hides the truth, but there is a different order of people who are kings in nature; they demonstrate their kingship by revealing these truths, because it is the honour of kings to search truths out. Truth is only revealed by revelation to spiritual men for a purpose (Matthew 13:10-13).
  • “The Holy Spirit uses this to show that the way into the Most Holy Place was not open while the system of the old Holy Tent was still being used. This is an example for the present time. It shows that the gifts and sacrifices offered cannot make the conscience of the worshiper perfect. These gifts and sacrifices were only about food and drink and special washings. They were rules for the body, to be followed until the time of God's new way (of reformation).” (Hebrews 9: 8-10 – Emphasis Added).
  • A deep study and clear insight into Hebrews 9 will reveal to you that the systems of the old ministry and the old message gave only partial treatment to the goal of God and stood as a shadow of the light until the times of God’s new way of reformation was revealed as signified by the Holy Spirit. This is an example or type or picture of the present age that requires a change. Reformation comes from the Greek word “diorthosis”. It is a channel through which the Holy Spirit brings change, rectification or to erect, setting things straight and bring uprightness. It speaks of restoration and improvement. This is why the present move of God is termed by some as an apostolic reformation.
  • The old system served the purpose of God for that season but was limited as it did not meet the ultimate purpose of God. It was only a shadow permitted by God to reveal and facilitate the new order. This is why the fact remains that we must recognize that which has been gained and accomplished in the old order and past move of God, because it was a platform to the present move. The fact that the Spirit moved and God visited does not mean that God approves of it. The fact that there is a blessing does not mean that He approves it. God blesses some things that He does not approve of because of His mercy. God blessed Ishmael, but He did not approved him. The old ministry may experience the move of God’s Spirit and His visitation, there may be blessings, but it does not mean that God has approved it. It is still subject to His judgment, except there is a transition. Thank God for the season of the old ministry and the old word, but it is over! We must be humble in heart and be ready to submit our old doctrines and beliefs on the altar of God in order to receive progressive revelation for this new season of reformation. We have to shift in our concept and belief so we can be competent. This is a hard saying, but the principle of God’s standard requires that things be done according to His pattern. This requires someone who is matured and seasoned in the things of God, whom the LORD has graced over our life and ministry as a spiritual father to give oversight and help critic the content of our message and the ministry in line with the Word. You can’t disciple yourself. You must submit to someone that will help you. This is a process in God. The Lord has put authority in our life, because there is no self-made man. Every personality in the scripture is prepared into the image of God by a different man. This is the pattern of God. We are made into the image of God by the hand of God. The hand represents the five-fold ministry. This is the way by which God fashions us. Paul the great apostle was discipled into the apostolic ministry by Barnabas who was one of the 70 disciples of Jesus. Who is your Barnabas? Aquila and Priscilla played this part in the life and ministry of Apollos (Acts 18:24-28). In Galatia, Paul withstood Peter for this purpose because he was to be blamed. It was a critical issue as other Jews and Barnabas were carried away with the dissimulation (Galatians 2:11-14).
  • Every paradigm shift takes us from our old model of thinking to a new model which we must embrace. A new paradigm is the new wineskin that is needed to embrace the new truth about what is being established. We must embrace the true ministry gifts that the Lord sends to us. In receiving the sent one, we are receiving Him. In embracing the gifts, we must receive the revelation of the mysteries that they carry. The new ministry that God is restoring today is apostolic in nature. It is a sent ministry and it speaks much of the apostles taking their place and function in line with the purposes of God and with the other five-fold ministry gifts.
  • An apostle is “a sent one”. It comes from the Greek word “apostolos” – It means a delegate or an ambassador of the Gospel. Apostle is a messenger that is sent by God. As a sent one, he comes with the message and authority of the Lord that sent him. Apostles are more like the “colonial masters” – They come to “impose” and establish the governmental rule of the kingdom they represent. Apostles are divinely called to be (Romans 1:1, 1 Corinthians 1:1). They are not voted in by a church board, but they are chosen by God for a specific function. God’s government is not a democracy, but it is a theocracy. For this purpose, strong and balanced kingdom apostolic ministries must be released today that are committed to the establishment and advancement of the Kingdom of God.
  • Apostles move with a definite purpose. They come to make input and help establish what is being done; that which is in line with the pattern and purpose of God in a geographical location. They don’t come to establish their own programs and cause division in the city. They don’t come without submission to the order of God in a place to work through and with. It is therefore important that apostles work with a local assembly in setting things in order and not be independent in the work. This is how the new apostolic ministry will operate with a Kingdom mindset. Exceptional cases are where the local church and ministries in the area do not embrace the new apostolic move of God’s reformation, and then it is mandatory to establish a new work that is a prototype of an Antioch church in that region.
  • Apostles should keep their communication channels open as wide as they can. Some are doing this well within their own spheres of ministry, but few have been able to do it with peers across the spectrum of the New Apostolic Reformation on a nationally and internationally basis. There must be cross pollination among apostles and the various apostolic networks if we are going to see the Kingdom of God built and established in the earth.
  • We need to receive the new Kingdom Apostolic Ministries the Lord is releasing in the Church in our day, by faith, so we can draw from a different level of grace. These Kingdom Apostolic Ministries will not be limited, nor will they be bond by a local Church, because their ministry calling and function is for the Body of Christ at-large. I have come across leaders in several nations who find it difficult to receive or relate with apostolic ministries that are not resident as a member of the clergy over a local assembly, because their concept from tradition is that apostles must be tied and accountable to a local church. It is important to recognize that the church does not send out the apostle into the work, because this makes the apostle accountable to the church. True biblical order requires that there be an apostolic team in the work that releases the apostle into the work, which includes ministry to the local church (Acts 8:14, Acts 13:1-3). The apostle is subsequently accountable to the apostolic team in the work and not to the local church, because his divine mandate places him over the local church (1 Corinthians 12:28). This gives the apostolic team the authority to bring correction and adjustment to the apostle where necessary. This means the new Kingdom Apostolic Ministries that the Lord is raising must have an apostolic oversight that releases them to the work which they must fulfilled. This does not negate the fact that the apostle should have a specific local church he relates and fellowship with, but his primary place of accountability is to the apostolic team in the work, that releases the apostle into the work. Apostolic teams operate in “the work” and not out of the church. The sole purpose of “the work” is to establish and assist the local church.
  • “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with out eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested among us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:1-3).
  • God speaks in different manners to us and this is determined by our relationship, by our function and the season we are in. In this Kingdom Apostolic Move, God is restoring an apostolic fathering ministry. We must understand the purpose of the apostolic fathering ministry and receive it, because it is to establish foundation for Kingdom building. Apostles lay foundation – starting churches does not make one an apostle, though this is part of an apostolic work. Anybody can start a church. Apostles are characterized by a unique relationship that they have with God. This makes them distinct. They have a unique relationship with God that brings an impartation of the life of Christ to the Church. Apostolic fathering is a unique ministry of relationship that is an important element for our relationship with what God the Father is doing, because our relationship with that ministry brings us into relationship with the Father. Apostolic fathering relationship brings an impartation of the revelation of the life of God in the church which establishes strong kingdom foundation.
  • Foundation is not about a set of teachings, because anyone can teach as disseminations of information are increasing. Knowledge comes from information, but revelation comes by impartation. Foundation is a deep level of relationship that the ministry brings us into with God. It is an impartation that is not taught but received through a unique relationship. The church is not built on personality, but on the revelation of the mysteries of Christ. The declaration of Jesus to Peter was “upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). The rock here Jesus referred to was not Peter the apostle who was called “petrous – a piece of rock”, but the rock here was the revelation of Jesus, “thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God”. The revelation is foundational. This is the most important element for building the house of God.
  • “The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty. I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him…….To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? Yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD” (Ezekiel 31:8-9, 18 GOOD NEWS).
  • These trees in the garden of God represent different streams of ministry voices that are mixed up in the house of God, and which are speaking. The tree of knowledge only feeds us with information of good and evil that hinders the purposes of God for our lives, and this tree speaks of a specific ministry voice in the garden of God. The religious tree of knowledge of good and evil is a hindrance to the life of God because knowledge corrupts, but also in the garden of God there is the tree of life that brings us into a unique relationship with God. This is a ministry of eternal life. We should become a ministry of life to the people and not just the mixed ministry of information. There is a lot of mixture in the house of God today and we must be very sensitive to discern the true voice of God that is speaking, and respond to Him alone.
  • This New Kingdom Apostolic Ministry that God is raising and restoring will build the Kingdom of God and finish the house of God. Building the Kingdom of God should be an apostle’s main purpose. The whole goal of raising our own ministry and the establishment of self-kingdoms has centered on a ministry of blessing people to bless the minister, rather than building the house of God. A new ministry must rise to train and equip the people who will in turn, focus on building the house of God to bring His glory and not to build the kingdoms of men. We should not be deceived towards fulfilling the vision and dream of a man, who has become a dictator in the house of God. We are not called to fulfill or build any kingdom for men, but to build the house of God. We must overcome that survival mentality if the house of God is to be built by the new ministry that is being raised and established by God in the Body. When we let go of our will, our programs and our purpose, then His will can be done in our lives and in the earth.
  • Seasoned apostles must begin to stand out because they are “pioneers of Kingdom truths” that are needed. There is an apostolic charge upon us from heaven to declare the gospel of the Kingdom. Let us not be isolated from present-truth to another gospel, or else we will be under an apostolic curse (Galatians 1:6-12). We can bring an entire people attending worship and a nation to eternal judgment if we do not preach the truth of the Kingdom. For this reason, there must be a rediscovering of the Kingdom message. There must be a quest for Kingdom truth. We have come into a new season of the trumpets of God and there is a declaration of messages that is being unpacked by the new ministry that God has ordained for now. Prophets are seers who declare mysteries that are seen, and they reveal the blueprint; while the apostles implement or work with the blueprint as master builders. This is why the apostles and prophets must work together as twin ministry to build and establish foundation for others to build upon according to the principles, pattern and paradigm of God.
  • Apostles bring order in the foundation. When this ministry is rejected from the city, things stay out of course. It is important that we emphasize that the new Kingdom Apostolic Ministries that God is raising is not one of position and blessing. For the reason of the ministry of the word and the grace they carry, they may be rejected, falsely accused and misinterpreted, and even cast out of the city, but the fact remains that there are certain things that God cannot do in the city until there is an apostolic order. God is in the process of setting in the biblical government of the church in a most remarkable way.
  • Every ministry is characterized by a message. Apostles are stewards of the mysteries of Christ and His Kingdom. What we preach should be a fresh revelation of the mysteries. This demand that the ministry of the old word must change – If the ministry and the message that we preach does not change the earth, then it is not Kingdom, because the Kingdom message changes the order of things and aligns it to heavenly pattern. A new ministry must be established within the local assembly that carries a present-truth to help change the face of the church that will impart the nations. We must begin to impart the nations and bring significant change in the administration of governmental authorities.
  • We are in a new season in God and the clarion call is to minister the true gospel message and establish the Kingdom of God in the earth. Much of what have been declared is the corruptible word of the past season, which is a product of man’s knowledge that stinks. This new season demands a new word. There are “now revelation of the mystery” that is now made manifest in the earth for the obedience of faith (Romans 16:25-26). Stop trying to fix and preach the old – Ask God to give you something new of the revelation of the mystery. A new ministry which carries a fresh word of present-truth must be released to establish Kingdom apostolic structures, which will help change the expression of the old church system and will begin to impart nations. This includes significant impartation in the government that rules in the heavenlies as God desire to create a new heaven and a new earth.
  • The reason we argue with present-truth and reject the revelation of the mystery of the message of the Kingdom, is because our mind has been indoctrinated and set to work contrary to the truth. Our spirit automatically rejects it from our mind and this affects the process of searching the word to confirm the truth. It does not go from our head to our heart. It only becomes head knowledge and not a heart revelation. There is a spiritual disconnection.
  • “These (Berean) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed…” (Acts 17:11-12 – Emphasis Added).
  • The Berea saints were more noble than those of Thessalonica because they were marked with a distinct character of first receiving the word with openness of mind and then they searched the scriptures for confirmation. Therefore many of them believed in the word that was preached. Present-truth cannot be received as the revelation of the mystery, except there is first a readiness of mind and then the searching of scriptures to confirm the word.
  • I trust that the words in this series will be received in this manner to allow the raising of new Kingdom Apostolic Ministries and the setting of a new standard for the Kingdom of God to be established.
